（1）材料运输
公路防护网为机织双绞六角形金属网片，每160mm用加筋丝加固。公路防护网以卷的形式装车,每卷卷长一般在25m-50m之间。卷径根据公路长宽及客户要求而定。卷状丝网有利于装车装船处理。
精良的安装设备不是由我公司而是由得到认可的经销商提供。
（2）地基准备
公路一般由混凝土或沥青铺成，较近多用热石油沥青砂胶(HMA)铺路。将成卷的公路防护网展开铺在公路表层就行。
（3）展开
为了便于安装，卸货时每隔25m-50m卸下一卷。在路床或基层谨慎的准备好后，就可将公路防护网从卷的*而非底端展开。这样使网子尽可能与公路表面接触。接下来用轮胎式压路机将网子轧平。这样至少来回轧两圈（4次），使网子与公路表层连得更紧。在转弯处网子卷起、不平是正常的，由于石笼网具有柔韧性，公路防护网在一定范围内可以拉成需要的形状，并保持其坚固性。
（4）紧固过程
丝网置于公路材质表层后，每张网至少在前4米长度内每平方米用专业机子通过钉子将网钉紧。
现推荐两种固定钉子：喜利得HPS螺钉和喜得钉。
根据地形、路基的类别、铺路的材料等来选择用钉。路基用颗粒状较软材质时，多选择用螺钉；路基用较坚硬材质（如混凝土）时，则选用长钉更合适。钉子的长度需根据路基的厚度和材质的承受度来选择。用钉子将网固定，可以防止铺沥青时网片翘起。关于选钉这点，须向*咨询。
（5）加固
我们建议至少横向每300mm纵向每150mm用加筋或绑丝加固。为了便于铺设沥青，在表面放层鹅卵石是有必要的，只有在卷与卷交接的地方需特殊加固。安装程序要按步骤进行。要特别注意覆盖物较薄时公路防护网的放置。建设过程根据地质、粘结层或底漆层进行。这样公路可防止裂缝、使热石油沥青砂胶(HMA)与现有表面黏合。混合层没有预处理但稳定时，可以用公路防护网。当以热石油沥青砂胶(HMA)为铺路材料时, 公路防护网放在较表层以下大约50mm处；根据功能的不同，也可放在较表层以下300mm处。其他各层根据每层的正常规格压轧放置。
